Colle Aperto, meaning "Open Hill," is the main entrance and central square of Bergamo's Città Alta (Upper City). Transportation
Colle Aperto is easily accessible by bus or funicular. Bus line 1 from Bergamo Bassa (Lower Bergamo) terminates at Colle Aperto. Alternatively, you can take the funicular from Viale Vittorio Emanuele II in Bergamo Bassa to Città Alta, and then walk a short distance to Colle Aperto.
